Bass Baby Gets Drty!
We’re not kidding around folks. I must admit I am absolutely wild over this little rocker gettin drtyto my track Bass Momma. He seems to have some signature moves like fist pumping, the spin and a rad two step rock-the boat.
When I was first contacted about this video I could not wait. It truly is one of the coolest things I ever heard. It makes the drt feel good to see the future rockers raging to my music.
Thanks to all who have downloaded, shared, blogged, played and fuckin abused my music. All of you totally rock.
I have been getting up on Hype Machine, meeting new peeps, getting new remix gigs, creating a shit load of material and finding my music in all kinds of places. It’s been a waaaay cool few months in the drt
Thanks again and be sure that there is only much more drt to come!
Hoodlum Electronix Mix Series Vol. One Promo
Shane Fontane presents Hoodlum Electronix
Ok drtsters. This here is a little 11 minute promo mix I just finished to announce my upcoming mix series and live performance known as Hoodlum Electronix. What you will hear are all live arrangements and mixes put together in real-time across a dual MPD24 set-up (kinda like two drum machines). No two sets will ever be exactly the same because it is not preprogrammed in software, although I use Ableton Live to perform with.
SO, on that note - please enjoy this shorty and feel free to show the drt some luv
Track Listing:
1 - La Musique (Adam Sky Remix) by Riot in Belgium
2 - I Get Around (Midnight Juggernaut Remix) by Dragonette
3 - Paradis by Lismore
4 - It’s The Beat (The Teenagers Remix) by Simian Mobile Disco
It’s a bit new wave, nu rave, indie electro shock therapy. It’s a drty little remix for a lovely ol’ electro band from Geneva called Love Motel. When I was asked to remix one of their songs, I immediately fell for the chorus of the orginal “Nothing Hurts” and really looked forward to remixing it. Something about those words and how it’s said that sends me to a nice warm dark comfortable place.
Yeah, so being off from the daily 9-5 grind has opened up some time to work on what I really love - music. So, here is the first post for 2008!
With so much going on in the world today, USA especially, it has me thinking. Hmmm… have we accepted a path of mislead fortunes presented by a dangling carrot of celebrities, CEOs, advertisements and false opportunity OR is now our moment to take back what is ours - OUR LIFE. Well, that my friend is the inspiration for my new track “We Can Dance Too”. I hope y’all can feel the urgency to gather and dance against the system when you hear this song.

Body Crash (JnrSnchz NYCGutta Mix feat. Hollywood Holt)
It’s the last Saturday Night of the year and I wanted to send the drt out with a bang. SO here is my DIY BASS track chock full of the ol’ nasty bass jam to spread on your dance floor frenzy. DJ ingredients include distorted analog synths, crunchy drums and rockin’ 70s vocals.
Here is the first remix on the site that IS of consent - lol. It’s a bit of a dance floor filler but nonetheless infectious hence the title “Infection”. The original track was written by my boy Sean Nash over at ALDJ. When I first heard the lead synth buzzing along I just had to get my drty hands on it and rub this track down with some jersey luv. So enjoy this “DJ friendly” seven minute remix.
