Probably the best thing that ever happened to me, today. Other than that, not feeling much of a writing mood so I’ll b brief. The tune “Swing Your Tambourine” by Kristoffer Ragnstam is something fun for sure. No way around it. It’s a good song. So check it out

So, tonight I was checking out this blog Off the Radar and I seen a post on Annie. I was amused by the writer when he said Annie was a guilty pleasure. This made me think back to some time ago when I couldn’t stop playing Heartbeat over and over. There is just something about it. Some things just stick.

So, my memory and I started thinking of some other songs that I just could not get enough of. I mean, like songs that I must have played a trillion times on my iPod, laptop, parties, and in my car. There’s not many of those songs for me, but at the moment I can remember a few. I figured I would share these tunes with ya.

In no particular order:

Annie – Heartbeat
This song reminds me of some good times back at the Misshapes parties in NYC. Just some real cool people having a kicked back time to some real cool music. Nothing more than great feelings in one of the shittiest bars I have been too

Heart Beat

or Download Here

MIA – Bird Flu
Bitch is sick man. MIA is numero uno on my list of kick ass chics. When I first heard this song I thought to myself – “Damn. This shit is drt man.” Seriously. I thought that. lol.

Anyways, this is one of those songs that sets the gadgets off. When I heard this song dropped at the club – drinks were spillin’ all over the place, people were bumping and being all kinds of rowdy and loud. Sick When I seen the video – WOW. Mucho SICK.

Bird Flu

or Download Here

Here it is… in all of its low-fi glory :p – you can find the higher quality version here

MGMT – Time to Pretend
Escape. Denial. Wreckless. These are just some of the thoughts that come to mind when I hear this song, but in a good way. The video really puts it over the top though. MGMT have something really amazing happening. With lyrics like “we’re fated to pretend” you have to be impressed. Well, maybe you don’t have to be but I am.

Time to Pretend

MGMT – Electric Feel
Yeah yeah. I know. Two videos by MGMT. Well, whatever. These are some sick tunes man. Electric Feel erupts my primal senses with something magical and hallucinogenic. A song about amazon chics shocking people is pretty neat. Especially when it has a mythological 70s funk vibe

Everyone’s favorite electronic connoisseur, Muscles, is venturing out of his lab of all things trance to hypnotize us once more. After melting the minds of dance-fiends everywhere, Muscles new offering ‘The Lake’ is a murky voyage through the best 90s daze-club throw downs had to offer; an epic 6am tempest. The track is accompanied by an aesthetic masterpiece (also known as a music video) directed by Jaron Albertin, who encompasses Muscles’ poignant everything’s with a lesbian kiss, a pool party and a gas mask…no easy task!

The Lake will be released digitally and as a CD single in July with remixes coming courtesy of Kid Kenobi, White Williams and Jokers Of The Scene! Dive in people…
